2. The Inner Peel: Underlying Assumptions
Beneath those surface thoughts are assumptions we’ve learned over time—especially in childhood—to help us navigate life.
Example: “If I mess up, people will stop liking me.”
These are more subtle and often go unnoticed, but they shape the way we interpret everyday situations.
3. The Core: Core Beliefs
At the very center are your deeply held beliefs about yourself, others, and the world.
Example: “I’m a failure.”
These beliefs are powerful—and often painful. But once we identify them, we can begin to challenge and change them.
